ENRICHED AIR NITROX SPECIALITY

Enriched Air Diver Speciality is PADIs most popular speciality diver course, and is designed for divers who want to make use of custom mixes of Nitrox and Air to maximise their bottom time. This course is designed to qualify recreational divers to use enriched air ("nitrox') for no stop recreational diving. The program addresses the use of enriched air with 22 percent to 40 percent oxygen. Increasing the oxygen content extends the no decompression limits, meaning you can stay in the water for longer, it will also reduce your surface interval times allowing you to get back in the water sooner.

You will learn how to:

     •     Plan an enriched air (no decompression) dive

     •     Analise the gas in your tank

     •     Manage oxygen exposure, both toxicity and oxygen tracking

     •     Assess the equipment required for enriched air diving

     •     Surfacing an unconscious diver
